The user license report in the Administration console shows which Anaplan licenses are assigned to each user. You can also use the report to see if the user’s platform activity is compliant with their assigned license for a trailing twelve-month (TTM) period.
User license report is in limited availability. Speak to your Anaplan account executive for more information.
The user license report includes an overview of each assigned user license type, and a table that displays each user’s license type and status.
With the user license report, you can:
Assess compliance: Review the report to identify any users flagged for acting over their license limits.
Optimize license allocation: For users that consistently act over compliance, you can upgrade their license to match their needs.
Inform renewal discussions:Use the report to make informed decisions during renewal talks.
Access the user license report
Tenant administrators and user administrators can access the user license report in Administration.
To access the user license report:
Select Administration from the top-left navigation menu.
Select Users > User license report from the left-side panel.
Understand your report
The user license report consists of two main components: an assigned user license overview and a user status table. Review the sections below to understand the user license report overview and status table.
Assigned user license overview
The top of the User license report screen shows a user license overview. It includes summaries and line graphs of assigned seats for each license type (for example, Planner or Contributor).
The line graph shows how many seats for each license type were assigned over the past 12 months (the TTM period). This is compared to the total number of available seats.
The colors of the line graphs represent the assigned seat limits:
Green: The license type is within the assigned limit.
Yellow: The license type is about to exceed the assigned limit.
Red: The license type exceeded the assigned limit.
If a red warning icon displays next to a license type, this means a user with this license has executed non-compliant actions.
User status table
Below the user license overview is a table. The table lists all active users for the TTM period, as well as any disabled users who still have licenses or activity in the period.
You can use the Find... search field to search for users in the table. You can also use the filter to filter the table by assigned user licenses or license status.
The table includes these details:
First name and Last name:The name of the user.
Email: The user's email address.
Assigned license: The Anaplan license currently assigned to the user.
If you changed a user's assigned license, the user license history icon displays next to their assigned license. Select the icon to view the user license history.
Status: The status shows as either COMPLIANT in green, or NON-COMPLIANT in red:
COMPLIANT: This status is shown in green. It indicates the user is performing activities on the Anaplan platform that align with the permissions of their assigned license
NON-COMPLIANT: This status is shown in red in the table.
It identifies users whose actions on Anaplan don't match the permissions granted by their assigned license. For instance, if a user is assigned the Participant license but carries out actions associated with a Planner, they are marked as non-compliant.
To change the user license, hover over the NON-COMPLIANT status, and then select Assign license from the pop-up window. You are taken to the user screen where you can change the user license assignment.
