Generate applications as an application owner

You can generate an application from the Applications main page. Within the application, you can also generate the application from the Overview page or from the Configurations page. After you generate an application, you can view the application generation status and versions from the activity log.

To generate an application from the Applications main page:

1. Visit the Applications page: https://us1a.app.anaplan.com/applications
2. Select an application row (don't select the application name link).
   The right-side panel opens and the Details tab is selected.
3. Select Generate from the right-side panel.
   The Generate application dialog displays that lists the objects that'll be copied and pasted to the new application.
4. Review or change the list of objects that'll be copied to the tenant.
   If your tenant includes more than one workspace, select a workspace where the application models will be copied.
5. Select Generate.

To generate an application from the application's Overview page:

1. Visit the Applications page: https://us1a.app.anaplan.com/applications
2. Select an application name link from the list to open it.
3. Select Overview from the left-side panel.
4. Select Generate from the Last generated tile.
   The Generate application dialog displays with a list of the objects that'll be copied and pasted to the new application.
5. Review or change the list of objects that'll be copied to the tenant.
6. Select Generate.

To generate an application from the application's Configurations page:

1. Visit the Applications page: https://us1a.app.anaplan.com/applications
2. Select an application name link from the list to open it.
3. Select Configurations from the left-side panel.
4. Select Generate application from the bottom right.
   The Generate application dialog displays with a list of the objects that'll be copied and pasted to the new application.
5. Review or change the list of objects that'll be copied to the tenant.
6. Select Generate.
