An application package contains Anaplan models, user experience pages, and other elements our our platform, based on a customer's requirements. They must be configured, managed, and deployed to customers.

Applications are ‌built with objects from Anaplan. The initial template of the applications can be used as a framework before they are configured for specific customer's requirements.

Once the application is deployed to the customer tenant, the application owner must accept the application into their tenant. Then they can configure and extend the application to meet the customer requirements.

Tenant administrators can assign the Application Owner role.

After the application owner reviews and configures the application, and it's ready for the customer, the application owner generates the application and the customer can use the application.

Once the application owner accepts the application, they need to review it.

Below are steps the application owner should take to get the application ready:

  1. Configure hierarchies.
  2. Configure data structures.
  3. Review and answer configuration questions.
  4. Generate the application.
  5. Review application objects added to the tenant.
You can view the objects from the Overview page.

The application owner can also accept future updates and generate the updated versions.
