Workspace administrators can add notes to model objects such as lists, versions, and actions. Notes don’t display to end users, but can be used to inform Anaplan AI agents.
To add a note:
- Follow the procedures described in the table below for each model object.

| Lists | Select General Lists in the model settings bar. Note: You can also add notes to the Properties and Subsets tabs in a list. |
| Versions | Select Versions in the model settings bar. |
| Actions | Select Actions in the model settings bar. |
| Modules | Select Modules in the model settings bar. Note: You can also add notes to a module in Blueprint. |
| Line items | Select Modules in the model settings bar, then select Line Items. |
| Line item subsets | Select Line Item Subsets in the model settings bar. |
| Dashboards | Select Dashboards in the model settings bar. |
- Double-click in the Notes column to activate the text entry field.
- Type your note. There’s a limit of 250 characters.
- Select Enter.
