Learn about new Anaplan features and enhancements introduced in August 2024.

  • Font color conditional formatting: Page builders can now select font as a style for conditional formatting. This is available for grids, tables, and variance columns on a table. Learn more about how to use conditional formatting in Configure conditional formatting and Add a variance column to a table card
  • Rich text formatting: You can now apply rich text formatting to editable text in grids and field cards. This includes bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, text alignment, bullet, and numbered list. Learn more about how to use rich text formatting in Work with grid cards and Configure a field card.
  • Conditional page navigation based on line items: Conditional navigation buttons have always supported using list-formatted properties to define the destination page, but model building best practices suggest that you should use line items. We've changed the conditional navigation action buttons in the UX to use either list-formatted properties or line items. This gives you the flexibility to choose, while following model building best practices.
  • Line item driven decision steps: You can now configure decision and approvals to be assigned to users based on a connected line item. This allows model logic to determine who approvers should be at each stage of the process. All of this logic is held within your model, along with other business logic and rules.
  • Skippable decisions and approvals: Decisions and approvals can also be optionally skipped if the line item used to define the approvers is blank. This adds more flexibility when handling approval steps in a process.
  • Model role driven decision steps: Similar to assigning decisions and approvals by line item, this feature gives builders the flexibility to issue an approval to all users who hold a specified model role. The first user to approve the step is logged as the approver, but everyone who holds that role is notified when approval is required.

Tenant Administrators can now disable user assignment from the model's user management tab, and allow only User administrators to create users in the tenant. Workspace administrators cannot add or remove any users through buttons in the model or by running an import. However, they can run an import to update user attributes. This feature is disabled by default and you must enable it for your tenants. Learn how to use this feature in Manage users in Administration only
