Workspace administrators can save a view of a module's data so they can return to the view quickly. They can also save changes to the default module view.
Save changes to the current view
When a Saved View has a Current Page filter applied, this filter will be applied as expected when the user interacts with the view.
When a Saved View has a Current Page filter applied, and is used in an Export (or on the source side of a cross-module import), it behaves as a Default Page filter. For instance, the same filter is applied to all pages, and is based on the default page.
To save changes to the current view, select View > Save. When prompted, select OK to confirm that you want to overwrite the view.
For the default view, you can select View > Save, but follow the same procedure as when you save a new view.
Save a new view
To save a new view:
- Select View > Save As.
- Enter a name for the view in the Save As field.
- Optionally:
- Deselect Always open on current page. This option is selected by default. If deselected, the view opens on the page that was selected the last time you opened the module, instead of the current page.
- Select Save as default view for module if you want the view to be the default view.
- Select Save.
Note: Test how long it takes to close and reopen your saved view. Heavily filtered pages may take a long time to open. You may want to optimize filter performance or reduce the number of filters.
