The tables below provide explanations for labels and statuses within the Sent Documents list.

Sent Documents

Status

The current status of the envelope:

  • In Progress: The envelope is incomplete. Some signatures are still required. The number of documents without signature is displayed in Pending Documents.
  • Completed: The envelope is complete. All recipients have signed the document.
  • Canceled: You canceled the envelope and your documents have not been sent.
  • Failed: The envelope is incomplete. Either one or more recipients refused to sign, or there's an error and an amendment is required. .
SentThe date the envelope was sent. By default, the date format is set to YYYY-MM-DD.

The number of documents sent/completed/pending/declined.
ViewSelect the icon to open a PDF copy of the sent document. The icon displays when the first recipient in the DocuSign workflow signs, views, or receives a copy of the document.
Status
  • In Progress: Some recipients in the workflow have not signed the document.
  • Completed: All recipients in the workflow signed the document.
  • Voided: You've canceled the transmittal and the document has not been sent. 
  • Void in progress: The envelope is currently being voided.
  • Declined: One or more recipients did not sign the document.
  • Error: The recipient's name and email address are either missing or invalid. Documents that have this status are not be sent.

View

Status

Draft: Document not yet sent.

In Progress: Some recipients in the workflow have not signed the document.

Completed: All recipients in the workflow have signed the document.

Voided: You've voided the envelope and the document has not been sent. 

Void in progress: The envelope is currently being voided.

Declined: One or more recipients have refused to sign the document.

Error: The recipient's name and email address are either missing or invalid. Documents that have this status will not be sent.
