Create or convert any numbered lists you might need in General Lists in the model settings bar.
For example, you can create display names for two employees with the same name in a numbered list. The display names are identical but contain unique identifiers.

Note: If you duplicate a display name in your numbered list, its unique identifier also appears in Tree View. For example, Eric Jones #2 and Eric Jones #3.
Create list properties for display names
To create a display name list property:
- Select General Lists in the model settings bar.
- Select your numbered list, then select Open.
- Select Properties > Insert.
- Type a name for the list property. For example, Display name.
- Select OK.
- Select the ellipsis ( ) in the Format column, then change the list property's format to either Text or List in Type.
The list property appears as an additional column in Grid View.
Add display names to numbered list items
Before you add display names to list items, you must define the list property for your numbered list in the Display Name Property column in General Lists
. This ensures that your display names appear for each list item.To add a display name to numbered list items:
- Select General Lists in the model settings bar.
- Select the numbered list that contains your Display name list property, then select Open.
- Select Grid View.
- Type a display name for the list item in the Display name column.
