Based on your Anaplan account setup, you can log in to Anaplan with basic authentication, single sign-on (SSO), or both.
To access Anaplan, you must initially input you Anaplan account's email address. Then, Anaplan detects which of these login methods are associated with your account:
| Login method | How to log in |
| Basic authentication | Log in with the email address and password for your Anaplan account. Basic authentication supports multi-factor authentication (MFA). If MFA is enabled and you log in with basic authentication, you must use an authenticator app to complete the login. For more information, see Multi-factor authentication for Anaplan login. |
| SSO | If Anaplan detects SSO is enabled for your account, you can use SSO as a login method. |
| Basic authentication or SSO | If your Anaplan account is set up to use both basic authentication and SSO, you can choose either method to log in. If you log in with basic authentication and MFA is enabled, you must use an authenticator app to complete the login. For more information, see Multi-factor authentication for Anaplan login. |
For more information about how to log in with each method, see Log in to Anaplan.
When you have finished your work in Anaplan, log out of Anaplan to end your session securely.
