This form is used to input balance sheet continuity data by a trading partner. This can be done for any account where the movement classification has the intercompany flag set to TRUE.

Movement classification movement allows administrators to control the movements that will be displayed and the availability of movement and account combinations for input. It also enables the selection of specific movement and account combinations that must be entered at the trading partner level.

The system requires these member tags for the Balance Sheet Intercompany Detail input form:

DimensionElementTag
AccountBalance Sheet#BalanceSheet
AuditContribution#Contribution
DataViewValue#Value
DataViewAll Dataviews (main root)#AllDataViews
IntercompanyNo Intercompany#NoIntercompany
IntercompanyTotal Group (main root)#TotalGroup
MeasureAmount#Amount
MovementAll Movements (main root)#AllMovements
MovementCTA Parent#CTA
MovementScope Parent#Scope
MovementClosing#Closing
ScenarioActual#Actual

Note: Member tagging is done within the Anaplan Financial Consolidation Model Manager.

Set these required SysNames in the Movement dimension:

DimensionElementTag
MovementAllocation#Allocation
MovementAutomatic Variation#Automatic Variation
MovementAutomatic Variation Year 1#Automatic Variation Year 1
MovementBusiness Acquisition#Business Acquisition
MovementClosing#Closing
MovementOpening#Opening
MovementResult Period#Result Period

The system also requires global variables for the input form.

Variable NameValue
CurrentPeriod<Name of the Current Period>. For example: 2026 P3.

You must ensure that audit members are set as the p_Audit property in the Entity dimension. Data input into the Balance Sheet Intercompany Detail is input to the audit member set on the selected entity parameter.

To access the Balance Sheet Intercompany Detail input form:

  1. Select the Explorer module.
  2. Expand the Global > Consolidation > Input.
  3. Right-click the Balance Sheet Intercompany Detail form and select Open. Alternatively, double-click the form to open it.

Alternatively, right-click a cell in the Balance Sheet Continuity Schedule input form where it requires intercompany input to launch the Balance Sheet Continuity Schedule input form. Movement classification defines it and is highlighted as a dark yellow cell.

You can also launch the input form by right-clicking on a cell.

Note: Your administrator may have moved the form to another location, or it may be started as part of a process.

The key parameters of the input form are:

Variable NameValue
EntitySelect the name of the entity.
AccountSelect the selection of accounts under the account tagged as #BalanceSheet.
PeriodIt defaults to the value set in the global variable CurrentPeriod.
ScenarioIt defaults to the scenario tagged as #Actual.

Select these parameters only if you launch the input form directly and not from within the Balance Sheet Continuity Schedule.

Once you have selected the parameters, the input form displays:

  • Rows display Intercompany members under #TotalGroup.
  • Columns display Movements. The account movement classification defines the movements displayed. Elements tagged under #CTA, and #Scope are always hidden.
Refer to Movement Classification to know more.
  • The last two columns should be the difference between closing – (Opening + all movements) and a check column showing if the difference is zero.

Note: Any difference is plugged to the Variation Auto member upon submission. If the Period and Scenario combination selected isn't open, the form is locked.

These columns, if displayed, are only in read-only mode:

  • Opening
  • Allocation
  • Business Acquisition
  • Variation (Auto)
  • Variation (Year 1)
  • Result of Period
  • Closing
  • Difference
