This form enables you to input the intercompany information by trading partner into Anaplan Financial Consolidation.

The system requires these member tags for the Trial Balance Input – Intercompany Detail form:

DimensionElementTag
AccountBalance Sheet#BalanceSheet
AccountIncome Statement#NetIncome
DataViewValue#Value
EntityTotal Group (main root)#TotalGroup
IntercompanyNo Intercompany#NoIntercompany
IntercompanyTotal Group (main root)#TotalGroup
MeasureAmount#Amount
MovementClosing#Closing
ScenarioActual#Actual

Note: Member tagging is done within the Anaplan Financial Consolidation Model Manager.

The system also requires global variables for the input form.

Variable NameValue
CurrentPeriod<Name of the Current month>. For example: 2026 P3.
ValidationType_TB_IC

This can be set to either:

  • Warning: The validation in the input form is a soft validation and won't block submissions.
  • Error: The form wouldn't allow submission if the trading partner total doesn't equal to the value in No Intercompany.

The system requires these attributes to be set:

  • p_TrialBalanceICInputType: Set by Entity, this property defines the method in which the entity enters their Trial Balance Intercompany Detail data. Valid values are Input or Import. Any entities where the p_TrialBalanceICInputType is set to Import won't be allowed to input data into the Trial Balance Input – Intercompany Detail input form.
  • p_Audit: Audit members must be set as the property in the entity dimension. Data input into the Trial Balance Input is input to the audit member set on the selected entity parameter.

To access the Trial Balance Input – Intercompany Detail form:

  1. Select the Explorer module.
  2. Expand the Global > Consolidation > Input.
  3. Right-click the Trial Balance Input – Intercompany Detail form and select Open. Alternatively, double-click the form to open it.

Note: The form can also be launched via a link from the Trial Balance input form. Your administrator may have moved the form to another location, or it may be started as part of a process.

The key parameters of the input form are:

Variable NameValue
EntityIt's a list of all non-elimination entities where the p_TrialBalanceInputType isn't set to Import.
PeriodIt defaults to the value set in the global variable CurrentPeriod.
ScenarioIt defaults to the scenario tagged as #Actual.

These parameters are only required to be selected if running the form from the Explorer module.

If the form has been launched via a link from the Trial Balance Input form, the parameters passed should be the same as the ones selected in the Trial Balance Input form.

Once you have selected the parameters, the input form displays:

  • Rows display all Intercompany entities under #TotalGroup except for the current entity parameter selected.
  • All intercompany accounts going across.

Note: Intercompany accounts are any account set up in the intercompany matching detail rules. Except for any accounts set up in the intercompany bookings rules or any setup in the consolidation detail rules with a repartition of intercompany.

Depending on the value set for p_TrialBalanceICInputType, data in several rows may differ:

If p_TrialBalanceICInputType is blank or p_TrialBalanceICInputType is set to Input AND p_TrialBalanceInputType is not set to Input.

  • The first row in the input template is No Intercompany value. This should match the value in the Trial Balance input form and is non-editable.
  • The Total amount reclassified row is the sum of all data entered to the trading partners, in yellow, for that intercompany account.
  • The Adjustment row is the Inverse of the adjustment amount, and should be read only, but save data to this intersection:
DimensionMember
AccountThe account in the column.
AuditThe audit member tagged as #Input.
CurrencyThe local currency of the selected Entity.
DataViewThe member tagged as #Value.
DateThe date parameter selected.
EntityThe entity parameter selected.
IntercompanyThe member tagged as #NoIntercompany.
MeasureThe member tagged as #Amount.
MovementThe member tagged as #Closing.
ScenarioThe scenario parameter selected.
Extra DimensionsAny extra dimensions, such as product or cost center are set to the default input member of the dimension.
  • The Check row represents the difference between the amount in No Intercompany and the Total Amount Reclassified. It displays:
    • ‌A yellow warning if the amounts don't match.
    • ‌A green check if the difference is zero. Depending on the value of the ValidationType_TB_IC global variable, it either triggers an error upon submission if No Intercompany doesn't match the sum of the trading partners, or it provides a warning.

If p_TrialBalanceICInputType is set to Input AND p_TrialBalanceInputType is set to Input.

  • The first row in the input template is the No Intercompany value. Input is allowed to this member.
  • For p_TrialBalanceICInputType = Input or blank, data input into the Trial Balance Input – Intercompany Detail form for the trading partners is submitted to this intersection:
DimensionMember
AccountThe account in the column.
AuditThe audit member tagged as #Input.
CurrencyThe local currency of the selected Entity.
DataViewThe member tagged as #Value.
DateThe date parameter selected.
EntityThe entity parameter selected.

MeasureThe member tagged as #Amount.
MovementThe member tagged as #Closing.
