This template form enables you to adjust the calculated cash flow. These adjustments or reclassifications might be for presentation purposes or for non-cash items. Anaplan Financial Consolidation has two standard cash flow adjustment audit members, but you can add as many as you need.

The system requires these member tags for the Cash Flow Adjustment input form:

DimensionElementTag
AccountCash Flow#CashFlow
AuditManagement Reporting#ManagementReporting
AuditCash Flow Adjustments#CashFlowAdjustments
DataViewAll Dataviews (main root)#AllDataViews
DataViewValue#Value
EntityTotal Group (main root)#TotalGroup
IntercompanyNo Intercompany#NoIntercompany
IntercompanyTotal Group (main root)#TotalGroup
MeasureAmount#Amount
MovementClosing#Closing
ScenarioActual#Actual

Note: Member tagging is done within the Anaplan Financial Consolidation Model Manager.

The system also requires global variables for the input form.

Variable NameValue
CurrentPeriod<Name of the Current Period>. For example: 2026 P3.
ValidationType_CFAdj

This can be set to:

  • Warning: The validation in the input form is a soft validation and won't block submissions.
  • Error: The form wouldn't allow submission if the cashflow adjustments don't net to 0.

To access the Cash Flow Adjustment input form:

  1. Select the Explorer module.
  2. Expand the Global > Consolidation > Input.
  3. Right-click the Cash Flow Adjustment form and select Open. Alternatively, double-click the form to open it.

Note: Your administrator may have moved the form to another location, or it may be started as part of a process.

The key parameters of the input form are:

Variable NameValue
EntitySelect the name of the entity for the report.
CurrencySelect the currency.
PeriodIt defaults to the value set in the global variable CurrentPeriod.
ScenarioIt defaults to the scenario tagged as #Actual.

Once you have selected the parameters, the input form displays:

  • Rows display the accounts tagged as #CashFlow.
  • Columns display Audit members. The Audit members displayed are:
    • Immediate child members under the element tagged as #ManagementReporting. These are protected.
    • Members under the element tagged as #CashFlowAdjustments.
    • The #ManagementReporting parent.
  • The first row under the  #CashFlowAdjustments members should show a validation that the total CashFlow = 0. If it isn't, it displays that value in red.

Depending on the value of the ValidationType_CFAdj global variable, if set to:

  • Error: It displays the error when trying to submit if the cash flow isn't 0 for any adjustments.
  • Warning: Only a warning message is provided and the data will be submitted.

Note: If the Period and Scenario combination selected isn't open, the input form will be locked.
