Google is updating the Google Maps platform. They have stopped supporting Google Maps client IDs. Instead, they now require API key credentials to authenticate Google Maps API service traffic. This change improves both authentication security and reliability.

Anaplan XL Reporting must follow this change to keep the Google Maps feature working. We updated our code to the latest add-in version. The Anaplan XL Web v2608 version now uses Google’s new API keys. Customers who don’t upgrade will lose access to the Google Maps feature. Google Maps will stop working in reports that use older versions. This happens because older versions still rely on the deprecated Client IDs.

This change affects customers who:

  • Use an older version of AnaplanXL Reporting Web (prior to v2608).
  • Integrate Google Maps in their reports.

Affected customers must:

  1. Upgrade to the latest version of the add-in (links below):
  2. Use a new web license key that includes the new API key.

To request a new web license and continue using Goolge Maps, open a Support case on the Support portal . Select the case category Extensions > AnaplanXL Reporting > License request.
