Define how Movement and Account intersections will behave in the Balance Sheet Continuity input forms. Account and Movement combinations can either be locked, open, or hidden from input depending on the Movement Classifications assigned to the Balance Sheet Accounts.

There are three steps to setting up Movement Classifications:

  1. Setup of Movements Classification groups.
  2. Define Movements within the Movement Classification groups.
  3. Assign Movement Classification groups to accounts.

To access the form:

  1. Select the Maintain module.
  2. Select Movement Classification from the General Setup section.

Movement Classification groups are created within the form. These groups define how a set of Movements behave in the Balance Sheet Continuity Input form. Movement Classification groups are applied as a property in the Accounts dimension. 

These columns for the Movement Classification headers must be completed:

Specify a numeric value that allows the Movement Classifications to be sorted within the form.
