Work with filters on your grids to change the data that displays based on certain conditions.

You can create filters when you design or edit a custom view

Module views don't support filters. You can only filter custom views.

Note: When you filter line items, filters only apply to number-formatted line items.

To create a filter:

  1. Select Edit this page to open the page in designer mode.
  2. Hover over the grid card and select .
  3. On the Overview tab, under View, select the module name.
  4. On the Custom views tab of the View dialog, select the module to add a filter to.
  5. Select Filter .
  6. Select Rows or Columns to select the axis to filter.
    • If you select an axis that doesn't contain line items, you can apply filters to the values of an individual line item.
    • If you select an axis that contains line items, filters apply to the values of all line items.
  7. From the Show items that match dropdown, select:
    • All to display items that match all your filter rules.
    • Any to display items that match any of your filter rules.

To add rule to a filter:

  1. Select Add rule.
  2. Optionally, select a different module from the Current module dropdown. This dropdown is available when you filter a list, time, or version.
  3. From the Select line item dropdown, select a line item to filter. This dropdown is available when you filter a list, time, or version.
  4. From the Select filter condition dropdown, select a filter condition.
  5. From the Time dropdown, select a time period to filter. This dropdown is available when you filter time.
  6. From the Current context dropdown, select the dimensions for the filter rule to apply to.
  7. Select Apply.
  8. Optionally, select Add rule to add another filter, and repeat steps 2 to 7.
  9. Select Update to continue designing your grid.

Note: A filter becomes invalid when the data it refers to becomes inaccessible or is moved. In the filter panel, a warning icon displays on the axis and filter that you need to reconfigure or delete.

It’s good practice to delete filters that are no longer relevant to your needs.

To delete a filter, select Delete filter to the right of the filter name. To delete all filters, select Remove all filters.
