You can run bulk copy actions or dynamic bulk copy actions to copy data in bulk between versions, time periods, or list items within a model.
Bulk copy and dynamic bulk copy actions must be set up by a workspace administrator before you can run them. You must have these permissions to run the actions:
Bulk copy actions can be run by either:
Workspace administrators with model role access to the action.
Any user who has access to the action.
Dynamic bulk copy actions can be run by workspace administrators only.
These exceptions apply to any user with access to the actions.
Run a bulk copy action
Follow these steps if you defined the source and target items when you set up the bulk copy action.
To run a bulk copy action:
Select Actions in the model settings bar.
If you have published the action to a dashboard, navigate to the dashboard that has the action button.
The workspace administrator who creates the action can choose text for the button label that suits your use case. The label name should follow best practice name conventions to help you identify it.
In the Actions tab, select the action, and then select Run.
On a dashboard, select the action button.
Select OK.
A message confirms the number of cells copied.
Select OK.
Run a dynamic bulk copy action
If you set up a dynamic bulk copy action, you can select the source and target items before you run the action.
To run a dynamic bulk copy action:
Select Actions in the model settings bar.
If you have published the action to a dashboard, navigate to the dashboard that has the action button.
The workspace administrator who creates the action can choose text for the button label that suits your use case. The label name should follow best practice name conventions to help you identify it.
In the Actions tab, select the dynamic bulk copy action, and then select Run.
On a dashboard, select the action button.
Select items from the Source member and Target member lists.
