You can publish a view to a dashboard to display grid data from a module.

You can always publish the default view of a module to a dashboard, but we recommend you save a view before you publish to a dashboard. If you publish the default view with unsaved changes, the published grid displays the unsaved changes. However, you need to make the changes again if you want to republish the grid.

Once you've published your view, you can edit it via Dashboard Designer.

To publish a view to a dashboard:

  1. Go to Modules and open the module that contains the view you want to publish.
  2. In the View menu, select Publish to Dashboard and either:
    • Select New Dashboard.
Follow the steps to publish to a new dashboard.
    • Select the name of the dashboard to which you want to publish your view.
The dashboard opens in Dashboard Designer and displays the view as a grid.
  3. Optionally, change the grid Format:
    1. Select the down arrow ▾ in the upper left of the grid to open the dashboard element menu.
    2. Select Format.
The options to adjust Column Settings, Conditional Formatting, and the Grid Style display.
  4. Optionally, rearrange the dashboard elements:
    • To move a dashboard element, select it and click and drag the blue Move handle to position it.
    • To resize a dashboard element, hover over the bottom right-hand corner of the element until an arrow displays. Click and drag the arrow to expand or contract.

You can resize all dashboard elements except actions, processes, page selectors, and list subsets.

  1. If the dashboard toolbar is hidden, show the toolbar by right-clicking the dashboard tab.
  2. In the dashboard toolbar, either:
    • Select Save to publish and remain in Dashboard Designer.
    • Select Save & Exit to publish and view the published dashboard.
