Rollover rules are created to copy data from the last period of the previous year to period 1 of the current year (Copy Opening) or from one month to the next in the same year (Rollover Month).
The Rollover Rules form enables you to add, delete, edit, and duplicate the Rollover Rules.
Access the form
To access the form:
- Select the Maintain module.
- Select Consolidation if prompted for a Rule Set.
- Select Rollover Rules in the Rollover section to open the form.
A list of the current Rollover rules is displayed.
Using the form
Rollover Rule headers
The Rollover rule form opens with all the rollover rule headers in view.
These columns for the headers are available:

| Rollover | Specify a name for the rule. |
| Model | Select the Model that the Rollover rule will apply to. If no Model is specified, the default Consolidation model in your system will be used. |
| Start Date | Specify the Date when the rule should start being applied can be specified. |
| End Date | Specify the Date when the rule should end being applied can be specified. |
Rollover Rule Details
When you select a Rollover Rule, the Details pane opens at the bottom of the screen displaying the details of the selected rule.
These columns for the rule details are available:

| Rollover Type | Select the type for the Rollover Rule. Valid options are:

| Source Scenario | Select value for the Rollover. This field is usually left blank, which means that it'll apply to all Scenario members. |
| Source Audit | Select value for the Rollover. This field is usually left blank, which means that it'll apply to all Audit members. |
| Source Entity | Select value for the Rollover. This field is usually left blank, which means that it'll apply to all Entity members. |
| Source DataView | Select DataView member for the Rollover. When specifying CopyOpening rules, the Source Dataview is often All_Values since you want to copy all Dataview members. When specifying Rollover rules, the Source Dataview is often Value since you only want to copy source data that has been input. |
| Source Movement | Specify a Movement member for the Rollover. |
| Source Year | Specify a numeric value for the Rollover. It only applies to a CopyOpening rule. A value of -1 means the prior year. |
| Source Period | Specify a numeric value for the Rollover.

| Sign | The sign used for the Rollover. Valid values are + or -. |
| Target Scenario | The Target Scenario for the Rollover. This field is usually left blank. |
| Target Audit | The Target Audit for the Rollover. This field is usually left blank. |
| Target Entity | The Target Entity for the Rollover. This field is usually left blank. |
| Target DataView | The Target DataView for the Rollover. This field is usually left blank. |
| Target Account | The Target Account for the Rollover. This field is usually left blank. |
| Target Movement | Specify a member as the Target Movement for the Rollover. When specifying CopyOpening rules, the value is usually set to Opening. When you set Rollover rules, the Target Movement field isn't filled. This means that it'll copy the data to the same members as the Source Movement. |
