Specify what period and scenario combination will be open for your Consolidation model using the Configure Open Periods form. Any period and scenario specified in this form are considered open. Any period and scenario combination not specified are considered closed.
If a period is closed:
- Calculations don't run against those periods when using the Run Tasks form.
Note: The only exception is the Rollover – Open Period. When running the open period rollover, the rollover will run even if there are closed periods within the selected year.
- Input is blocked when using any out-of-box Anaplan Financial Consolidation input forms for those period and scenario combinations.
- Journal entries are blocked for those period and scenario combinations.
Access the form
To access the form:
- Select the Maintain module.
- Select Consolidation if prompted for a Rule Set.
- Select Configure Open Periods in the General Setup section to open the form.
- A list of the current Open Periods/Scenarios is displayed.
Use the form
Within the form, any period and scenario combination that should be open is listed. Any period and scenario combination that should be closed is removed from the form. Any period scenario combination that should be closed is removed from the form.
These columns in the Configure Open Periods form must be completed:
