Define how Movement and Account intersections behave.
This affects:
- The Balance Sheet Continuity input forms. Account and Movement combinations can either be locked, open, or hidden from input depending on the Movement Classifications assigned to the Balance Sheet Accounts.
- Journal Entries. Depending on the Movement Classifications assigned to your Accounts, this'll determine the valid Movement/Account combinations when trying to post a Journal Entry.
Note: If no Movement Classifications are defined, Journal Entries will be able to be posted to any Movement and Account combination.
There are three steps to setting up Movement Classifications:
- Setup of Movements classification groups.
- Define Movements within the movement classification groups.
- Assign Movement classification groups to accounts.
