Export your journal entries in bulk for a query to facilitate reporting purposes or to update other systems.
To export:
- Select Export to create a bulk export of journal entries that include headers and details from your system.
- The .CSV file contains:
| Requirement | Action |
| RecType | The file must contain the RecType column.
|
| JEID | Clear the JEID for each row of a journal entry. The JEID is repeated for the entire journal entry, including each RecType row labeled with a 'D'. IDs with a negative sign show the journal entry has not been saved. |
| Header/Detail | The header comes before the details for each journal entry. The journal configuration file Header/Detail column and order determine the order of the dimensions in the export file. |
| Status | Displays status of the header of each journal entry:
|
| Balanced |
|
| Attachment |
Attachments don't get exported into the file. |
| DetailID | It displays a DetailID number for each detail for a journal entry. For example, if you have one debit and one credit account, the DetailID fields would contain 1 for the first and 2 for the second. |
| Debit and Credit | It displays numerical or currency amounts in the debit and credit columns. |
