You can import data into Anaplan Data Orchestrator from external source systems, Anaplan models, or local CSV files to create source datasets.
Import source data
You can import source data from these sources to create source datasets:

| Connection with external source systems | Import data to Data Orchestrator from connections with external source systems to create source datasets. Before you can import source data from external source systems, you must create a connection between Data Orchestrator and an external source system. Use a supported connector to create a connection from the Connections screen. Then from the Source data screen, you can use the connection to extract the data and create a source dataset. |

Once the source data is imported into Data Orchestrator, it becomes a source dataset. The source datasets display on the Source data screen, and are identified by the source dataset icon .
