Anaplan XL Reporting Excel Edition settings are in a configuration file stored in the user's Application Data folder. 

The user's Application Data folder can be found at:

%appdata%\XLCubed Ltd\XLCubed Excel Edition\settings.xml

For a Windows installation, this is:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\XLCubed Ltd\XLCubed Excel Edition\settings.xml

To change the file for other people, open Anaplan XL and change any settings you want. For example, you can change the number of rows and columns.

    • Grid defaults
    • Connections
    • Favorite grids
    • Anaplan XL Web server addresses
    • Anaplan XL Options

When you close Excel, the file will be updated and can then be sent to other users or included in a custom installation script.

Admin controlled

There are two additional files that can be added to the Anaplan XL installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Anaplan\Anaplan XL Reporting\):

  • defaults.xml: Sets the default settings. The user can override them.
  • settings.xml: Forces these settings. Users can't change them.

The format of the file is the same as the %appdata% version, you only need to include the settings you want to change/set. This is particularly important for ‌forced settings; only include those settings that you want to force on to the users.
