The Anaplan XL installation defaults for user interaction and experience are applied for any new workbooks opened during the Excel session.
If you are deploying your own installation package, after running the installation, go to the Anaplan XL menu and select Options > Anaplan XL Options. When you choose your settings, they are saved in the settings.xml file, located at %appdata%\Roaming\XLCubed Ltd\XLCubed Excel Edition\settings.xml, for example, C:\Users\jane.smith\AppData\Roaming\XLCubed Ltd\XLCubed Excel Edition\settings.xml. The User Interaction tab contains settings for customizing the user-interface, allowing you to tailor how Anaplan XL looks and behaves.
The user-interface options include:
| User-interface options | Description |
| Language | Select to set the interface language. |
| Show right-click menu option at top (restart Excel to apply) | By default, the Anaplan XL right-click menu option is at the bottom. Select this to display it at the top. |
| Use task pane for new grids | Automatically opens the task pane when a new grid is created. |
| Automatically apply changes in task pane | Changes are made instantaneously. |
| Disable draggable grid labels | Hides all dimension labels on Grids. |
| Show Execute Script (restart Excel to apply) | Displays the Execute Script button on the ribbon. This enables you to run Anaplan actions and processes. |
| Anaplan XL workbooks open disabled by default | This prevents Anaplan XL from connecting to the data sources when a workbook is opened. To connect and refresh the report, select the Activate Workbook button in the ribbon. |
User experience options
Configure how Anaplan XL responds to your actions and displays content.
The user experience options include:

| Case sensitivity | Selects whether searches should be case-sensitive, case-insensitive, or should use the cube default. |
| Automatically select Children of first member | The children of the first member are applied as members when a hierarchy is selected, for example, for a slicer. |
| Don't show Dynamic Chart warning | Controls whether Anaplan XL warns when it limits the number of charts it shows in a Dynamic chart (small multiple charts). |
| Chart default text colour | This defines the default color for any text displayed in a dynamic chart. |
| Display Conversion Options | Shows the Convert from options in the Anaplan XL ribbon. |
Connectivity options
Manage how the application connects to online services and authenticates your access.
The connectivity options include:

| Use SSO credentials for web logon | Whether to use SSO credentials for web logon. |
| Use Google China for maps | Whether to use Google China for maps. |

Advanced options
Select to enable logging for Anaplan XL.
The advanced options include:
