Learn how to install the Anaplan XL Reporting Add-in.

  1. Review the prerequisites
  2. Download and run the Anaplan XL Reporting installer

Make sure you have a valid customer license prior to installation.


  1. Close Excel
  2. Go to your Windows Start button. Enable or Disable Anaplan XL should appear.
  3. If you don't see the Enable/Disable option, go to Start > All Programs > Anaplan XL > Enable or Disable Anaplan XL.
  4. Choose the Excel version where you want to activate the Anaplan XL ribbon.
  5. Start Excel and the Anaplan XL ribbon should appear. ‌If the ribbon doesn't appear, check Disabled Items within Excel. 
  6. Select File > Options > Add-Ins
  7. Select Disabled Items from the Manage dropdown and select Go. ‌Any disabled items will be displayed in the window.
  8. Select and enable the items as required.
  9. Close the Disabled Items window before restarting Excel.

If your Anaplan XL tab doesn't appear, then go to: Enable Ribbon Other Options

The installer will automatically detect and update the application.
