Pipelines in Anaplan Data Orchestrator enable automated data movement from Anaplan to external systems.

Use the Data Orchestrator connections you created to create a pipeline.

Note: Data Orchestrator pipelines currently support writeback to Snowflake connections only. This means you must create a Snowflake connection before you can create and use the pipeline.

To view pipelines in Data Orchestrator:

  1. Select Data Orchestrator from the top-left navigation menu.
  2. Choose a dataspace from the list.
  3. Select Pipelines from the left-side panel.

With Snowflake's writeback capability, you can create a writeback pipeline in Data Orchestrator. The writeback pipeline takes datasets and transformation views from Data Orchestrator and writes them to tables in Snowflake.

The Snowflake writeback pipeline allows organizations to export transformed and validated data from Anaplan to Snowflake. The writeback pipeline can be published and used to update the target table in Snowflake on demand or run at a schedule

Once you successfully create the pipeline, you can manage it from ADO.

After you create a pipeline, you can run the pipeline as part of an Anaplan Workflow. This enables you to automate data transfers based on a schedule, or trigger them manually as part of a larger sequence of tasks.
