Data presented in a report originates from a model. As a page builder, you can hide context dimensions from the toolbar, set context to slide level, and unsynchronize context dimensions for each card, to then choose and lock the card context.

As a page builder, you can select a model when you create a report page, and in the Page settings of an existing report. For the card, select a module in the View dropdown in Card configuration.

The toolbar displays all context selectors from the synchronized dimensions of all cards. If you've one or more dimensions on the report, use Edit selectors to remove some or all of them. When you add a card to the report, the card synchronizes to the global context. Additionally, you can set the context to a slide level to fix a slide to a location, time period, or any dimension used in that slide. The setting context to slide level helps you to choose which level the context on a slide links to:

  • Global
  • Slide level

When you update a context selector at the slide level, only that slide's cards are updated. It doesn't update the global context. When you update the global context, the slide level context isn't updated.

You can set the slide level context selection per slide. For example, Slide 1 = UK; Slide 2 = Poland; Slide 3 = France; and Slide 4 = Italy. The data on the respective slide is updated as per the selection.

You can also unsynchronize cards from the global context, to fix them to a specific context. These cards are then unaffected by changes to the global context selectors. For example, to fix the context of a card to show a particular Region, use Card configuration to unsynchronize the card and then select a Region.
