Page builders can use copy branch actions to enable many-to-many copying of list items. You can copy more than one branch in a list hierarchy and select multiple parents to copy the branch data to.

Before you can add copy branch actions to a page, they must be configured in the source model by a model builder.

You can add copy branch actions to grid cards on board pages that are linked to the source model that contains the list you want to copy to or from.

Add copy branch actions

To edit cards, select Edit to open your page in designer mode.  

Select Save to save as a draft, or Publish to publish the page. 

To add a copy branch action to a page:

  1. Select Configure action on a new action card, or hove over your action card and select Edit .
  2. On the Action tab of the Card configuration panel, expand Copy branch. 
  3. Toggle any copy branch actions to add them. 

Run copy branch actions

To enable copy branch action buttons on a page, you must select child list items. You cannot run a copy branch action for a parent item. 

To run a copy branch action:

  1. Select the child list items you'd like to copy, then select the copy branch action button. 
  2. On the Copy branch (All levels) dialog, select the parent you'd like to assign the list items to.
    You can Select all items or apply Filters, for example, you can filter by Ancestry.
  3. Select Copy branch to copy the list items to a new parent.
