Options are the Anaplan XL installation level defaults, which are applied to any new workbooks opened during the Excel session.

The user interaction options include:

Chart default text colourThis defines the default color for any text displayed in a dynamic chart. 
Display Conversion OptionsShows the Convert from options in the Anaplan XL ribbon.

The connectivity options include:

The general data options include:

General data optionsDescription
Show Cancel Query button afterThe time it takes for the Cancel Query window to appear so that long queries can be canceled (in seconds).
Default Connection TimeoutOverrides the default connection timeout with the value provided (in seconds). This applies to all connection types.
Dynamic Charts temporary folder:Overrides the default temporary folder used for dynamic charts.

The member options include:

Default at level view in member treeSets the default view of hierarchies to be level-based, rather than member-based.
Use single members on filtersInstead of adding new members to the member selector, replaces existing members when the hierarchy is in the filter area.
Limit for quick searchLimits the number of members that can be searched for to the specified value. If there are more items available in the Member Selector tree view, the Advanced Member Searching dialog is displayed instead.

Limit number of members returned in tree toLimits the number of members returned in the Member Selector tree view to the specified value. Review Expand Large Hierarchies for more information.
Auto-expand levels in Compact GridsWhen the compact style is used for a grid, the first level is automatically displayed; otherwise, only the total is shown.

The measure options include:

Display Dimension Name with Hierarchy NamePrefixes the hierarchy name with the dimension name.
Show sets in foldersControls whether Anaplan XL displays named sets in defined display folders or not.
Pick parent-child hierarchies by defaultSelect the first parent-child hierarchy in the list of hierarchies in the Report Designer, instead of the first field.
Automatically display dragged hierarchies in DesignerAutomatically displays the list of available members in the Report Designer when a hierarchy is added to the grid layout. Uncheck this box to prevent the list of members from being displayed automatically.

Select the option for Maximum cells to writeback in one edit: Maximum number of cells that can be written at once. Use to optimize write processing when the performance of the source model or connection is limited.

The formula engine options include:

The TM1 options include:

Select the option for the Environment: Default environment to use when connecting to Anaplan.

Select the option for Maximum cellset request size: The maximum number of cells that can be returned when querying Anaplan.

Select the option for OAutho info url: Authentication URL to use for connecting to Incorta.

Select the option for Load metadata in the designer by default: Uncheck this option to prevent the list of available objects in the Query Editor from loading automatically. Use the Display Metadata button to load the metadata on demand in the same window.


The web publication options include:

The default formula options for new workbooks include:

The default formula drilling options for new workbooks include:

Remove nulls when drillingIf there are any null rows/columns when drilling down on a member, they'll be removed so that there are no fully empty rows/columns in the report.
Remove 0 values when drillingIf there are any rows/columns when drilling down on a member that only contain zeros, they'll be removed so that there are no zero rows/columns in the report.
Resize Columns after drillingThis allows a column to resize itself when drilled.
Indent drilled membersWhen the user drills down on a member, they'll be displayed indented.
Lighten background color on drillWhen the user drills on a member, a slightly lighter version of its background color will be used for the new members.
