Design a dynamic chart in Anaplan XL

Use the chart task pane to design a dynamic chart.

You can use the chart task pane to define which series and members are displayed.

Categories define the x-axis within each individual chart. Series defines the type of data series to be charted.

You can split the data can be split into separate charts at any level by dragging and dropping the hierarchies into Columns and Bows.

Select a hierarchy to go to the member tab to select members/levels.

Moving a hierarchy to Filters applies a filter to the data. By moving the measures to the Filters, you can add to and/or change the currently charted measure.

Additionally, you can drive ‌data selection by using slicers or Excel ranges. See Dimension slicers and Drive grids from an Excel range.

You can set a hierarchy in Animate charts.

Use the dropdown at the bottom of the Chart task pane to change the chart type. See Business charts for an explanation of the chart types.

You can change the chart type for each series by right-clicking the series, selecting Series > Chart type, and choosing a chart type.
