When you design a custom view for a worksheet, or chart, grid, and KPI cards, you can select which items to show.

Use this to emphasize important data, and remove data from a view if it's not relevant to users.

For example, you could display regional totals while omitting the employees in those regions. Likewise, you could display the products in a list without also showing the parent category.

This feature is available only within custom views. You cannot select which items to show within a module view, as module views are designed by your model builder.

To show selected items on a card, there are two procedures you must complete in sequence:

  1. Create a card to show selected items
  2. Show selected items on a card

When you design a custom view for a worksheet, you can also select items to show.
