Grid actions extend the user interaction. Set up a grid by presenting menu items to perform various actions: context area, report navigation, master or detail data views, and so on.

You can define a list of actions to add to a grid's right-click menu. Each action is linked to a cell containing an XL3Link that is triggered when the menu is selected.

You can optionally set grid Interactions to wait for a grid action to be triggered before they are outputted. The grid active cell can drive other grids but won't be refreshed until the action is activated.

Definition

Pick a range containing the XL3Links. A maximum of 10 actions are supported. The Menu item name is the text of the cell, and the XL3Link is triggered when the menu is selected.

Active Cell tracking waits for action and tracks the active cell in the grid but only outputs the members when the action is selected.

Active cell tracking sends to sheet2, which has a grid made from those cells. The action takes the user to sheet2, and the Wait for action option refreshes the grid.

To launch an action, right-click the cell in the grid that you want to launch the Action from and select Anaplan XL > Actions....
