Use an image card to display a relevant image for an item on a page. For example, you can use image cards to illustrate office locations, products, or different employees in your company.
You can add one or more image cards to a board, report, or the Additional insights panel on worksheets. On report pages, you can arrange image cards on slides or add them to the Insights panel. You can add an image as a URL, either as a static URL or as a URL in a line item, or from the image library.
To use an image from a line item, the source model must contain a line item with the format Text and type Link. The line item must contain a valid image URL.
When you add images as a URL, images must have publicly accessible URLs to appear in a PDF Export. The URL must begin with https://
and the type of the referenced image must be one of: PNG (.png
), JPEG(.jpg
, .jpeg
), or GIF (.gif
).
When you add images from the image library, images must be one of: PNG (.png
), JPEG(.jpg
, .jpeg
), SVG (.svg
), BMP (.bmp
), or GIF (.gif
).
To edit cards, select Edit to open your page in designer mode.
Select Save to save as a draft, or Publish to publish the page.
To configure an image card:
- Select Image on a new card, or hover over your card, and select Edit .
- On the Overview tab of the Card configuration panel, select an image source:
- Line item: Select the module that contains the image from the Module dropdown list, then select the image from the Line item dropdown.
Only modules that contain Link type line items display in the Module dropdown. - URL: Enter the Image source URL.
- Image library: Choose an image from, or upload an image to the Image library, then select Insert.
You cannot manage images from the Card configuration panel. To delete an image or change its category, go to the Image library.
- Line item: Select the module that contains the image from the Module dropdown list, then select the image from the Line item dropdown.
- You can also:
- Enter a Title and Description for your card.
The description displays in a tooltip for the information icon . - Select a page from the Link to a page dropdown.
The image card title links to the page you select if the selected page is published. - Select Card settings to switch Allow comments, Allow maximizing, and Display card background on and off.
- Enter a Title and Description for your card.
- On the Image tab:
- For boards and worksheets, you can switch off Display card background, which is enabled by default.
- For reports, you can set Image scaling. As you resize an image card, Stretch sizes the height independently of the width to fill the card, and Scale sizes the image content proportionally.
- On the Context tab, you can configure context selectors.
If the module has multiple dimensions, a context selector displays in the top-right of a board page, or in the card of a worksheet. To select a different image to display, select an item from the context selector.
