In the grid, you can change the state of multiple checkboxes at the same time from checked to unchecked, or vice versa.
To do this, first select the checkboxes you want to change.
Note that for nested dimensions you, must either choose to select all checkboxes under the outermost header or only those under one of the innermost headers. You cannot select only the checkboxes in the rows nested under a middle-level nested dimension.
If you want to select: | then: |

only some of the checkboxes in a single row or column | 1. Press and hold the Shift key. 2. Select the first checkbox you want to select. 3. Select the last checkbox you want to select. 4. Release the Shift key. All the checkboxes between the first checkbox you clicked and the last checkbox you clicked are selected. Note: You cannot select multiple checkboxes that are not adjacent. If you want to change your checkbox selection: 1. Press and hold the Shift key. 2. Select the checkbox you want to be at the new outer edge of the selection. 3. Release the Shift key. The limit of the selection changes to the checkbox selected in step 2. |
all the checkboxes under each of several adjacent rows or columns in the grid | 1. Press and hold the Shift key. 2. Select the header of the first row or column you want to select. 3. Select the header of the last row or column you want to select. 4. Release the Shift key. All the checkboxes in all rows or columns, between the first header you selected and the last header you selected, are selected. |
all the checkboxes under each of several non-adjacent rows or columns in the grid | 1. Press and hold the Command key (on a Mac) or the Control key (on a PC). 2. Select the header for each row or column you want to select. 3. Release the Command or Control key. The checkboxes for all the rows or columns under the headers you clicked are selected. Note: You can only select either multiple rows or multiple columns. If you try to select a column after selecting a row (or a row after selecting a column) all cells are deselected. If you want to change your row selection: 1. Press and hold the Command key (on a Mac) or the Control key (on a PC). 2. Select any additional headers for each row or column you want to include in the selections. 3. Deselect the header for each row or column you previously selected that you do not want to include in the selection. 4. Release the Command or Control key. |
To change the checkbox selection in all selected checkboxes, press Space.
If all the checkboxes are currently checked, they all become unchecked.
If all the checkboxes are currently unchecked, they all become checked.
If some of the checkboxes are checked and some are unchecked, they all become checked.
